About the Role

Reporting to the Superintendent for Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) HV & Power Eastern, you will be based in Newman and responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of all electrical installations that service our people and our customers across the BHP Electrical Network, this encompasses the Newman Township, associated mining operations, farming stations and relevant rail network.

For the successful applicant, we offer in return the extremely popular even-time family friendly 7 days on 7 days off 12-hour shift roster coupled with a workload that is diverse, interesting and at times challenging - this workload will also see you positively collaborate and contribute across most aspects of our business.

About You

  • Certificate of Designation (Electricity)
  • You must hold either an unrestricted WA Electrical Licence or Electrical (Power) Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • Effective communication and investigation skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant electrical legislation, standards, and codes of practise
  • Sound technical knowledge and first-hand skills associated with electrical installation testing and defect identification
  • Detailed record keeping and compilation/submission of statutory reports.
