King of the Hills (KOTH) is the flagship operation of Vault Minerals Limited and one of the largest gold mines in Australia. After a significant expansion, KOTH will feature a 7.5 million tonne per annum (Mtpa) processing plant, providing a solid platform for long-term production growth. This dynamic operation combines open-pit and underground mining, with exciting exploration activities driving the future. KOTH is located approximately 900 km northeast of Perth and 25 km north of Leonora, within the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Supply Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the supply and inventory management function, ensuring efficient and cost-effective management of materials and supplies. This role involves supervising the stores’ team & purchasing officers and maintaining optimal stock levels to support the organization’s operational needs. The Coordinator/Supervisor is accountable for quality assurance in inventory control and adherence to purchasing protocols, as well as driving process improvements in line with company policies and standards.
Lead and integrate the site-based Warehousing and Procurement functions to ensure streamlined operations, consistent process compliance, and improved cross-team collaboration. The role will be hands-on in the warehouse while also implementing systems, processes, and frameworks to improve efficiency, cost control, and supply chain resilience.
The position will be appointed on a 4:3 roster arrangement based out of Perth.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
  • Break down silos between Stores and Purchasing, ensuring seamless communication and workflow.
  • Lead site purchasing activities in alignment with company procurement policies, ensuring timely and cost-effective supply of goods and services.
  • Oversee all warehouse functions, including inventory control, stock management, receipting, dispatch, and compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process frameworks that enable the team to operate efficiently and with minimal supervision.
  • Manage, coach, and mentor a multi-disciplinary team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional development.
  • Work closely with site leadership, contractors, and suppliers to ensure operational alignment.
  • Maintain accurate records, prepare operational reports, and ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, supplier performance improvement, and inventory optimisation.
About You
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Supply supervisory position within the mining environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, outstanding time management, and superior organisational skills, complemented by powerful negotiation abilities and adept problem-solving expertise.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement and warehouse management within a mining or heavy industrial environment, along with a strong understanding of ERP systems, particularly Pronto for efficient procurement and inventory management.
  • Strong leadership experience overseeing both operational and administrative teams, coupled with excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including influencing senior leaders and effectively managing front-line operations
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and continuously improve SOPs, policies, and operational processes.
  • Proficient in the use and application of MS Office suite, Pronto and Power Bi.
  • WHS for Statutory Supervisor Training/Qualification (Schedule 26).
  • WA Driver’s License (manual C Class) and High Risk Work License (LF) derisible
