About the Role
Join our team as a Supervisor Supply, where you will lead a team of Technicians or Operators in executing transport or logistics activities ensuring processes are consistently applied.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Superintendent Logistics & Mech Support, the main responsibilities of the Supervisor Supply, will include;
• Supervising technician’s or operators in transport or logistics activities.• Manages schedule to ensure proper coverage to maintain operations.• Resolves on the job issues.• Monitors working practices and adherence to safety procedures to ensure safety of employees working in the area.• Contributes to continuous improvement by collecting feedback and from suggestions.• Recommends and/or initiates actions involving establishing job expectations, providing direction or work priorities and methods of performing tasks.
What You’ll Bring
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a warehousing, logistics, or supply chain environment• Strong commitment to safety, ensuring adherence to PPE, risk assessments, and operational procedures• Ability to lead a team by fostering a positive and productive workplace culture• Experience in conducting pre-starts, field interactions, and safety inspections• Proven ability to manage stock accuracy, receipting, and issuing processes with minimal rework• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational challenges• Experience with SAP or similar inventory and asset management systems• Ability to coach and mentor team members, drive performance, and uphold company values• Effective communication and collaboration skills, working across teams to streamline operations• A growth mindset, embracing training and continuous improvement initiatives

Where you’ll be working
Our Weipa Operations includes three bauxite mines, processing facilities, ship loaders, an export wharf, two ports, power stations, a rail network and ferry terminals. Located on the Western Cape York Peninsula in Far North Queensland, each year the operation produces more than 35 million tons of bauxite.
Our operations are supported by a 1,900-strong workforce—including 26 per cent who are women and 25 per cent Indigenous employees. Activities include mine operations, maintenance, asset management, ports, cultural heritage management, and processing facility management.
The development of our new mine, Amrun, which was completed in 2018, will extend the life of our Weipa bauxite operations by decades to come and significantly build on our 55-year history on the Western Cape
