Our Darlot Operations team is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead a team, optimise processes, and drive efficient.

With over a century of mining history, Darlot is a cornerstone operation of Vault Minerals Limited producing high-grade gold production. The Darlot mine is located about 900 km northeast of Perth and 121 km north of Leonora, in the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.

Reporting to the Procurement Superintendent, the Supply Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the supply, purchasing and inventory management function, ensuring efficient and cost-effective management of materials and supplies. This role involves supervising the stores team, managing the purchasing function, and maintaining optimal stock levels to support the organisation’s operational needs. The Supervisor is accountable for quality assurance in inventory control and adherence to purchasing protocols, as well as driving process improvements in line with company policies and standards.

This position will be offered on a 7:7 roster FIFO from Perth

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Provide leadership and supervision to store officers, including training, guidance, and performance management, to ensure efficient operations and a high level of team effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement processes for efficient stock replenishment, minimising overstock and shortages.
  • Coordinate with various departments to forecast material needs and plan inventory accordingly.
  • Work with the purchasing officers to maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure timely procurement of materials.
  • Oversee purchase order processing, ensuring compliance with budget and organisational standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory control and purchasing activities.
  • Ensure the store offices adhere to all safety and handling procedures for inventory items.
  • Maintain documentation for all inventory transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Implement quality checks for incoming stock to ensure conformity with required specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, health, and safety standards in the storage area.
  • Assist in the development of the stores and purchasing budget.
  • Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure spending aligns with budgets.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on inventory status, purchasing activities, and cost performance.

About You

  • Previous experience as a Supply Supervisor, overseeing inventory, supply chain, and stores operations within the resource sector (preferably mining).
  • Tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma) in Supply Chain Management or equilvant.
  • Proven capability to lead and manage teams effectively.
  • Ability to confidently communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, supported by strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, organisational, and problem-solving abilities, with a proven capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • High level of attention to detail, complemented by strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, inventory management systems, and ERP software, with experience using Pronto.
  • Excellent information gathering and information monitoring skills.
  • Hold a current WA Driver’s License (manual C Class) and High Risk Work Licence (LF)
