Minara Resources has an opportunity for an experienced Supply Systems Advisor to join our established and dedicated team.

Minara Resources is Australia’s largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. The Role

In this role you will be responsible for reducing costs through the creation of strategies for the procurement of goods and services and through optimising hours spent on common tasks and improving internal efficiency for the Supply & Logistics department. This role will also involve the implementation of new policies and procedures in line with Glencore’s Standards and Murrin Murrin Operation’s policies.

You will be responsible for:

• Improve internal efficiency of the Supply & Logistics department and related functions with a focus on best practice principles
• Monitor systems and business processes applicable to the role, identify and prioritise improvement opportunities and formulate alternatives and improvements to systems and methods
• Assist the Superintendent – Supply Systems with implementation of change management initiatives and other business improvement projects
• Assist with the development and maintenance of up-to-date job procedures for all tasks performed within the Supply & Logistics team
• Assist in the provision of analytical support to the Supply & Logistics team
• Assist with the development and maintenance of processes, systems and tools to support the role out of new Glencore initiatives where they impact on the functions of the Supply and Logistics team
• Support and assist the Superintendent – Supply Systems in overseeing and implementing new and existing Glencore policies, procedures and requirements that are applicable to the Supply & Logistics department

About You:

This role would suit a driven procurement professional looking for a hands on role based at our Perth office. You will have:

• Excellent knowledge of a variety of Supply and Logistics processes including warehousing, purchasing, inventory management, coordination of logistics, contract management, contract drafting, formal tendering etc.
• Ability to drive improvement projects through to completion by working effectively with Supply & Logistics department personnel to deliver improvements/results
• Ability to provide training to team members in the use of systems and template
• Experience working within a similar analytical role in a regulated environment will be highly regarded
• Excellent analytical skills, high attention to detail, coupled with an ability to meet deadlines and prioritise multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
• Familiarity working with MS Excel, MS Word, Oracle will be viewed favourably
