At MRM, we are currently seeking an experienced and driven Survey Technician / Surveyors Assistant to support our Mine Civil Projects team. Reporting to the Lead Surveyor, you'll enjoy a diverse team environment and have exposure to challenging work that will enhance your career development.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining survey quality assurance and control (QAQC) as per design
- Setting, collecting, and completing tasks for open pit and infrastrucutre survey, such as static and/or UAV scans, drill pattern collar setout and pickup, and grade control.
- Ensuring survey instruments and the GPS systems are maintained in good order;
- Assist with providing timely and accurate end of week and month pit surveys, volumes and waste dump surveys; and
- Maintenance of registers and data management.
- Previous experience in mine surveying
- Knowledge and experience in using computerised surveying packages
- Experience with Vulcan survey software is an advantage
- Microsoft Office software experience including Excel
