About the Role
FIFO; DIDO; Residential options all available. We have multiple exciting opportunities for experienced surveyors to join our Surveying teams in the Bowen Basin. We have opportunities at Peak Downs and Caval Ridge. Reporting to the Site Survey Superintendent and using the latest technology, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of day-to-day survey requirements and be given opportunities for technical and professional development. In this Role you will:
- Be a part of a large Spatial team that covers multiple operations, providing opportunities for diverse work and great mentoring
- Use the latest in survey, GIS, and mapping equipment and software
- Perform end-of-month surveys and calculations
- Perform surveys to maintain mine models
- Maintain coal inventory and reporting systems
- Complete compliance reporting to guide operations spatial compliance
- Provide survey support to mining, engineering, exploration, and rehabilitation activities
- Maintain survey plans and datasets
- Identify and execute opportunities to improve existing systems and processes
About You

You will have access to technology that will enable you to work flexibly, which is key to BHP’s success in addressing the requirements of a diverse workforce. Key requirements include:
- Hold or actively working towards a Tertiary Qualification in Surveying
- 2+ years’ experience in surveying
- Experience using GPS equipment, total stations, terrestrial scanners, and RPAS technology is advantageous
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet strict deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proactive and positive attitude towards learning and being part of a great team culture
