About the Role
We Seek motivated Surveyors to join our growing Underground Mining Team at Leinster and provide support. You will report directly to the Senior Surveyor and demonstrate effective work planning, as built QA/QC data management and compliance to business processes/systems. The following duties will be an integral part of your role:
- Maintaining accurate survey records, databases and control network.
- Setout of Mine design including Lateral and Vertical Development, Production Rings and other surface and underground infrastructure.
- Conduct as built surveys using Total Stations, Lidar Scanners, CMS, Cals and Drones.
- QAQC of mining development.
- Provide accurate EOM surveys and calculations.
- Maintain and update Mine and Emergency plans to meet regulatory requirements.
- Regular maintenance and calibration of Surveying Equipment.
- Liaise with Mining Teams to ensure timely and effective Survey support.
- Surface / Underground subsidence and convergence monitoring.

About You
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Tertiary Qualification – Degree or Advanced Diploma in Surveying.
- Underground mine surveying experience (Desirable).
- Competent in the use of mine surveying applications such as Deswik, Leica total stations, Optech CMS and Trimble GPS is highly regarded.
- Strong computer literacy skills and excellent communication skills with all levels of operation.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Mines Regulations, OH&S and Duty of Care.
- Proactive and self-motivated attitude.
- Current "C" class manual drivers licence.
- A strong commitment to contribute to the site safety culture.
Nickel West Leinster
Nickel West Leinster is located 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. The operation sources nickel ore from the Leinster Underground Mine and Cliffs Underground Mine before crushing and processing to produce a concentrate.
