About the role
The Perth DPC team are responsible for the data processing and QA/QC of various spatial data products that support RTIOs license to operate for both mine and resource evaluation teams. We are currently looking for a Surveyor to work within a new spatial data processing centre (DPC) based in Perth CBD on an 8/6 roster offering great work life balance.
Reporting to the Specialist Geomatics Engineer, you will be:
- Processing and QA/QC of survey outputs
- Editing and maintaining various Geographic Information Systems and 3D Datasets
- Processing aerial imagery and deliver in different formats to be used by customers
- Model updates for various customers including stock and ROM reporting
- Conformance analysis and reporting
- Ensuring all ground disturbance and rehabilitation footprints are recorded in the appropriate datasets
You will also:
- Create exploration, construction and rehabilitation designs that consider various operational and approval constraints.
- Update digital models to reflect the current state of operating areas
- Develop machine guidance data/designs as required.
- Produce both hardcopy and digital maps as required.
- Support compliance reporting to maintain RTIO's license to operate.
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualification in surveying or other relevant geospatial sciences.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience in the mining and exploration industry.
- Excellent computer skills, especially in manipulating various spatial data.
- Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS Pro software.
- Experience with ETL software (FME).
- Experience with GNSS survey systems.
- Familiarity with 3D data generated from RPAS (drones) and LiDAR sensors.
- Strong understanding of coordinate systems, transformations, and map projections.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience with machine guidance systems.
- Experience in spatial database manipulation.
