About the Role
In this role, you will drive strategic and tactical Improvements for systems and technology initiatives integration to support Resource Engineering (RE) Technology 5YP and RE current systems improvement, in alignment with UX business needs. You will support RE leaders and technology SMEs to build and sustain effective partnerships and achieve results that enable RE team members to do their core work effectively.
In addition, this role will also monitor the health of RE applications cycle portfolio and recommends and drive improvements when needed in alignment with best practices and new technologies.
Your accountabilities include:
- Drive Strategic & Tactical changes to Systems and Technology aligned to Resource Engineering (RE) Tech 5-year plan (5YP) and RE Current Systems Improvement initiatives.
- Monitoring Health of the RE Applications Portfolio and drive application cycle and improvements as needed.
- Maintain a RE UX focus and aligns technology groups back to systems practicality and useability.
- Develop and Manage RE Leaders and Technology SME to enable RE business to achieve core business value.
- Be the focus and champion of Technology/Business collaboration.
- Provide a hands-on capability to manage business orientated priorities in projects. (e.g., testing, training, facilitate product Transition to Operation when required).
About You
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Seasoned UX Technology Business Analysis, with excellent communications skills, able to translate messaging from business to technology and vice versa, clearly, and effectively.
- Experience with Mining Applications preferable related to: Mine Planning Systems, Water Planning, Closure Planning, Geotechnical Engineering and Spatial (Desirable).
- Background on mining systems architecture (Desirable).
- Good knowledge of programming and database principles
- Some knowledge of Phyton, SQL, R, C++, and other coding languages will be highly desirable
- Good knowledge of excel (Power BI desirable)
- Technology strategy design and implementation (Experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analysis, Technology Business Analyst, or related discipline or equivalent experience on the field will be highly advantageous
The role provides extensive opportunities to develop business knowledge in mine planning processes including water, closure, geotechnical engineering and spatial, and will expand your knowledge in mining systems applications.
Location
You will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - ‘City Square’. You will have stunning river views from your modern open plan office, state of the art facilities including virtual whiteboards and video conferencing facilities, 550 bicycle racks with ample lockers, showers and change room amenities and a large outdoor terrace with barbecues.
You will be working on Monday-Friday roster while flexible work is also offered.
