About the Role

At BHP we are passionate about driving equal opportunity and fostering an inclusive workplace which has opened up a great new opportunity in the Talent Acquisition team.  What makes this role exciting and unique is that as Talent Acquisition Specialist you will play a pivotal part in truly advocating for all of our diversity hires, from the very beginning of their journey with BHP.  Developing and implementing recruitment strategies and campaigns through the constructive collaboration with our leadership team in line with our Newman residential and Inclusion & Diversity strategy.  We are offering a Perth based 12 month fixed term role  - Apply today

In addition, you will:

  • Oversee the complete selection, assessment, and onboarding process in line with BHP's diversity goals and our TA frameworks and therefore ensuring a positive candidate experience
  • As a seasoned TA Specialist you will develop and implement best practice methods of screening, assessment and selection to ensure we attract talented diverse candidates from various communities
  • Regularly travel to site to build relationships with line leaders, coach and advise on process and strategies to eliminate bias and meeting business priorities
  • Support the execution of our residential recruitment strategy, collaborate with HR, Talent & Performance subfunctions and our external Community
  • Evaluate and continuously focus on improving the effectiveness of our recruitment strategies
  • Measure and report on data trends to facilitate fair and equitable candidate outcomes, developing or advancing recruitment practices and processes to address issues as appropriate
  • Apply market and industry data to support delivery of defined sourcing strategies
  • Apply appropriate selection methodologies to qualify candidates through to candidate talent segment pools in alignment and improvement to the sourcing strategy

About You

The ideal candidate for this role will posses post-secondary qualifications in a related field or equivalent work experience.

In addition, the successful candidate will:

  • Be an experienced recruiter who ideally who constantly strives to improve process
  • Have a growth mindset and learning agility to help drive diversity hire strategies
  • Understand and manage stakeholders and their priorities; Influence acceptable outcomes
  • Guide negotiations to an acceptable outcome based on pre-determined stakeholder requirements
  • Collaborate with key decision makers across the organization to implement changes that will drive results
