About the role
This is a permanent full-time role being offered on a 4:3 roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns.
In this role you will provide civil/geotechnical engineering support to the Responsible Tailings Facility Engineer (RTFE), TSF operations and project teams. Your will also support the ongoing implementation requirements for the Global Industry Standard and Tailings Management (GISTM) during operation, construction, and closure.
Some of your main responsibilities will include:
• Project development, execution, and supervision.
• Maintenance of GEMCOs tailings management systems.
• Interpretation of tailings monitoring results and communication to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Responsible for the tailings management of change system.
• Stakeholder engagement support including liaising with EoR, operations, planning and environment teams
About you
You have a desire to progress a career in tailings management. You will be a driven and forward-thinking Engineer with an eye for continual improvement and a commitment to workplace safety.
To be considered for the role, you will have:
• Engineering degree in civil, environment, geotechnical, or relevant discipline
• Recognised tailings dam experience in design, construction, or operations.
• Auditing, training and presentations skills
• Exposure to GISTM standard (highly desirable)
• Project management experience
• Strong engagement and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain sound working relationships
