About the role
Reporting to the Global Head of Talent Acquisition, and part of the TA leadership team, this key role leads all recruiting for our Global Functions which provide support to our Operations on six continents and 36 countries.
The Manager, which may be a Head of role in other Talent Acquisition structures, leads the planning and delivery of recruitment services through a team based in Brisbane, Perth, Singapore, London and Montreal. You'll work closely with the Business and HR leadership teams to understand future demand and plan team and proactive sourcing activity to meet it.

Key responsibilities include:
Oversee the delivery of recruitment and talent advisory services that embody industry best practices and foster diverse talent pipelines, advancing Rio Tinto's commitment to equity, inclusion, and diversity
Lead, inspire and develop a diverse and dynamic talent acquisition team
Partner with Business and HR leadership teams to align business strategies and objectives with cost-effective recruitment delivery and talent sourcing strategies
Collaborate with the broader People Function and Areas of Expertise to exchange information and resources
Leverage data-driven insights and best practices to shape effective recruitment strategies
Identify and recommend improvements in recruitment, talent and sourcing processes
Lead special projects and initiatives to enhance global recruitment practices
Ensure recruitment activities meet business needs and proactively address any concerns
What you’ll bring
A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
Experience in leading high-performing Talent Acquisition teams across multiple service lines and ideally with experience operating across countries
Demonstrated experience in delivering recruitment and talent advisory services that align with industry best practices
Ability to engage with senior leaders to translate business priorities into team actions
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with various internal stakeholders, including the broader People Function and Areas of Expertise
A strong commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion
Confidence with analytics and insights and a genuine interest in industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement
Experience in leading projects and initiatives
