Mechanical Fitter roles are currently available across a number of our Western Australia Iron Ore Asset - WA locations - FIFO from Perth.
These Mechanical Fitter roles are available to various rosters. “Western Australia Iron Ore” value and respect employees, offering an inclusive and diverse environment. BHP WA Iron Ore is one of the world’s leading suppliers of iron ore. The Company’s operations currently involve an integrated system of seven inland mines, more than 1,000 kilometres of rail and two separate port facilities; Nelson Point and Finucane Island at Port Hedland.

About You
Ideally you will meet the following criteria:
- Hold an Australian recognized Mechanical trade certificate
- A valid and current C Class drivers licence
- Experience working in a maintenance role in mining, heavy industry, aviation, construction, agriculture, manufacturing or a transferable industry
- Previous experience working as a fixed plant fitter in mining or similar environment
- Relevant experience performing preventive maintenance, repairs and fault finding on mining equipment or similar
- A commitment to safety, quality and attention to detail and procedure;
- The ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure;
- A strong desire to learn and a high level of enthusiasm to develop a range of new skills;
- A desire to achieve results through great teamwork and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-skilled team
