We are currently looking for a Team Coordinator to provide administrative support to the Chief Executive Office, Australia. The Team Coordinator also provides support for the Global Head of Government Relations Australia and Global Head of Employee Relations. The principal function of this role is to provide high quality administrative support for the Chief Executive office using a variety of skills and competencies including a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
Reporting to the Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Managing of contractors and consultants
- Expense management
- Scheduling meetings and travel arrangements
- Support for accounts/accruals and other budget requirements
- Support with maintenance of appropriate registers and systems
- Support Chief Executive Australia with arranging Internal meetings and conferences for team including agendas, logistics, catering etc. as required
What you’ll bring
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Have strong communication, written and verbal skills
- Planning and scheduling capabilities
- Have strong organisational capabilities and time management skills
- Proficient in word processing, excel and other computer functions
- Pro-active attitude to the role
- Demonstrate confidence when dealing with senior executives and key external stakeholders.
- Desire to learn about internal processes, systems and tools.

This role is based in Melbourne. The Chief Executive Australia office represents Rio Tinto’s Australian interests with all stakeholders and sets the direction for the business. The Chief Executive Australia office also leads the Health, Safety, Environment & Security (HSES) and Communities & Social Performance (CSP) areas of expertise.
