About the role

We are looking for a Technical Advisor (Controls and Electrical) to provide technical support within Parker Point and East Intercourse Island fixed plant operations.
This role is a great opportunity for someone who can communicate well, is passionate about working safely and eager to learn more.
Reporting to the Senior Controls and Electrical Engineer, you will:
- Provide technical advice for control systems and electrical issues in daily production meetings
- Work closely with electrical maintenance team to diagnose and rectify faults
- Deliver reliability improvements for fixed plant operations
- Engage in medium term projects and defect elimination activities
- Create effective handovers and demonstrate effective communication with your peers
- Coach and develop electricians and apprentices on control system and electrical equipment
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in project management and engineering specialist teams
What you’ll bring
- WA C Class manual driver’s licence
- Proficiency in PLC and SCADA systems (Schneider/Wonderware)
- Knowledge of LV and HV motor control and Variable Speed Drives
- Experience fault finding industrial networks (Ethernet / Modbus) (desirable)
- Exposure to Functional Safety Lifecycle would be beneficial
- Demonstrated strong health and safety culture
- Experience using SAP (desirable)
- Strong communication, written and stakeholder management skills
- Strong collaboration and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to problem solve and perform data analysis
- Relevant tertiary Engineering qualification or WA “A” Grade Electrical Licence (desirable but not essential)

Where you’ll be working
Our port facilities consist of four shipping terminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier and Cape Lambert which form an essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading.
