Work Location: Perth Office - Fortescue's Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster:  Monday to Friday

The Technical Lead – Integration manages the integration team, ensuring the successful deployment, integration, and support of software from internal and external development teams. The Technical Lead - Integration primarily focuses on ensuring that the integration activities meet exit criteria to enable Verification activities of release candidates. They collaborate with feature development teams, site-based personnel, and stakeholders—including verification & validation, project leads, integrators, and customers—to resolve integration issues and enable verification activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the integration team across Perth and site locations, ensuring effective coordination and performance
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor end-to-end integration engineering activities to ensure timely delivery
• Provide clear and regular communication to site and Perth leadership on integration progress, risks, and outcomes
• Mentor and develop integration engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering team capability
• Track team performance metrics and drive continuous improvement in delivery efficiency and issue resolution
• Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements, including automation to streamline integration workflows
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex integration issues, ensuring timely resolution and stakeholder alignment
• Oversee integration documentation, including testing results, configurations, known limitations, and resolution tracking to support exit criteria
• Ensure integration activities align with project requirements, standards, and operational readiness objectives
• Provide on-site support as required, including travel to support site teams and maintain continuity of integration activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5+ years’ experience software engineering or similar, integrating complex systems or products
• Strong background in software engineering, systems engineering, systems integration, or hardware-integrated development
• Proficient in relevant technologies within the Product scope (e.g. C#, C++, microservices architecture, Git, CI/CD tooling)
• Experience integrating software for SIL/ HIL environments
• Prior experience integrating Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS)
• Strong leadership in managing cross-functional technical teams
• Expertise in complex issue prioritization and resolution
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams
• Ability to track performance metrics and drive continuous improvement
• Experience developing shakedown/smoke tests and test plans
• Experience in developing DFMEA, identifying high risk items to integrated and test.
