Technical Services Manager

About the role:  We are currently seeking a talented professional for our Technical Services Manager position at our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture (CMJV), located 156 kilometres south west of Mackay. Our Coppabella Moorvale mine complex consists of three open-cut mine operations producing premium low-volatile pulverised coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.   Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for providing services across the two open cut coal mines including short and medium term mine planning, coal quality, logistics, environmental and surveying.  With 5 direct reports you will also perform the following duties.

Duties will include

• We require a dynamic and engaging leader for a multifunctional team
• Revenue optimisation
• Development and delivery of budgets
• Delivery of new products plan and seek to optimise our coal quality and yield
• Provide rolling 18-month plan focusing on optimised mine designs and concepts which provides framework for 16-week schedules
• Review opportunities to optimise equipment utilisation
• Oversee the environmental and survey services functions
• Provide technical support to the production team across both sites
• Mine plan design to facilitate short-term process

The lifestyle: This position is offered on a 9 day fortnight (Monday to Friday, Monday to Thursday) roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah or Nebo), DIDO or FIFO lifestyle.    About You:

• Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline
• Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated revenue optimisation experience
• Exceptional people and leadership skills, able to bring a team together for a common purpose
• SSE qualifications and coal mining experience highly desirable
• Proficient in the use of Vulcan, Spry and 3D-Dig will be looked upon favourably
