Cameby Downs is managed by Yancoal Australia. We mine 3.5Mt ROM, and utilise load and haul and dozer push for highly cost effective waste stripping.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

The Technical Services Superintendent will lead the Cameby Downs Technical Services Team, which will be responsible for the design, coordination and implementation of the Mine Plans as well as continuous improvement and cost mitigation of the mine.  The successful candidate will: •    Lead business improvement projects with a specific focus on safety, productivity, and asset utilisation. •    Standardise and oversee Technical Services team activities and identify opportunities for continuous improvement •    Effectively allocate work to your team resources to provide technical direction, input and advice •    Actively contribute to assist and share knowledge and information with the team to improve safety, work processes, cost and team work •    Utilise accurate data analysis to drive cost reduction and efficiencies •    Capacity to lead and develop a multi-disciplined technical team  •    Liaise with Coal Seam Gas industry representatives to facilitate overlapping tenement responsibilities 

Skills and Experience

•    Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering and or extensive experience in the mining industry  •    SSE Qualification highly regarded
