About the Role
Report to Electrical Supervisor, your will be responsible to provide operational support by maintaining plant, equipment and infrastructure in compliance with the weekly work schedule, operating standards, procedures, work instructions and defined processes to achieve optimal maintenance outcomes. Main job responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Execution of the weekly work schedule and approved break in work.
- Executes maintenance activities in accordance with the relevant HSE standards.
- Assists in developing and enhancing task lists, work procedures and instructions.
- Identification and implementation Maintenance Execution improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate commitment to customer service both internal and external to the business.
- Pursuing operating perfection in work practices and approach.
- Reporting of events, work requirements and hazards in a timely and accurate manner.
- Updating events and work requests with an accurate scope of work, to support effective planning of work.
- Comply with the 1SAP Work Management processes related.
About You
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
- ACMA Open Cabling license + Structured, Coax, and Fibre endorsements are mandatory.
- Security Licence (Access control and CCTV) is mandatory.
- CCNA and Fluke Certified Cabling Test Technician are deemed advantageous.
- Commitment to health, safety, and the environment.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- SAP Experience preferred but not mandatory.
Experience in following areas:
- Ability to program Cisco switches.
- Ability to troubleshoot Cisco switch issues (misconfigured subnets, VLANs, MAC flapping etc).
- Installation and termination of indoor and outdoor Ethernet CAT6 cabling.
- Splicing of fibre optic cables.
- Ability to troubleshoot fibre optic issues (high receive power, signal loss).
- Testing cables ethernet and fibre using DSX5000 modules.
- Termination of N-type, BNC, and TNC connectors.
- Testing of coax cables using an Anritsu Sitemaster (antenna analyser and cable sweeps).
- Digital Radio systems such as DAMM and Sepura (Tetra systems).
- LTE systems (RAN - access layer, point-to-multi point, point-to-point).
- Security Systems (CCTV, Gallagher Access Control).
Location
In this full-time permanent position, you will be based at our new ‘Jimblebar’ mine site on a fly-in fly-out and working on 8 days, 6 off, 7 nights, 7 off roster. Our FIFO villages have a wide range of facilities and all rooms have their own ensuite bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning to help you unwind, relax and sleep well. We know the more time you can spend at home the better, so in addition to our flights out of Perth, our Jimblebar and Newman operations are now offering those that live in WA’s beautiful South West region direct flights from Busselton.
