About the Role

We are currently looking for a Technology Systems Technician to join our Operational Technology (OT) team at Olympic Dam. Reporting to one of our Communications Shift Supervisors this role will be responsible to provide operational support by maintaining plant, equipment and infrastructure in compliance with the weekly work schedule, operating standards, procedures, work instructions and defined processes to achieve optimal maintenance outcomes.

This role is a within the Underground Mine environment on a 7 Day, 7 off, 7 Nights, 7 off roster with the opportunity for either FIFO/BIBO or Residential in Roxby downs.

Main job responsibilities will include but not limited to: 

• Execution of the weekly work schedule and approved break in work
• Executes maintenance activities in accordance with the relevant HSE standards
• Assists in developing and enhancing task lists, work procedures and instructions
• Identification and implementation Maintenance Execution improvement initiatives
• Demonstrate commitment to customer service both internal and external to the business
• Pursuing operating perfection in work practices and approach
• Reporting of events, work requirements and hazards in a timely and accurate manner
• Updating events and work requests with an accurate scope of work, to support effective planning of work
• Comply with the 1SAP Work Management processes related to work identification, execution and the capturing of related historical information.

About You

As the successful candidate you will possess the following:

• Suitable experience or interest in Technology Systems (eg electronics, radio, Teleremote) 
• Understanding of Maintenance Principles and Practices
• Understanding of task risk management and assessment
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Willingness and commitment to learn and develop
• Passion for learning and adapting to new information rapidly
• Commitment to health, safety, and the environment
• Work well in a small team
• SAP Experience preferred but not necessary.
