The purpose of this role is to safely execute to safely execute High Voltage Electrical maintenance work within an operation area as per SAP (computerized maintenance management system) processes, maintenance schedules and work instructions as directed by the Electrical Supervisor High Voltage. This role will be offered on a Permanent basis.

This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes – bus available from Bunbury location only) and other nearby scenic communities. As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie. |
Accountabilities
Primary;
- Demonstrate commitment and conformance to safe work practices and procedures
- Maintenance, testing, and repair of high voltage circuit breakers, contactors and switchgear
- Testing high voltage cables.
- Execute scheduled inspections, testing, servicing, and oil sampling of power transformers.
- Diagnose/repair HV and LV electrical assets safely and efficiently.
- Isolation of HV & LV circuits for safe access to electrical apparatus including write and verify HV switching programs.
- High Voltage protection relay programming, interrogation and testing/troubleshooting.
- Ensure work is done to the highest standard and history is recorded in SAP notifications for future reference
- Initiate updates to work procedures to ensure they are accurate and relevant to equipment as per the SAP process
About you
- WA “A” Grade Electrical License
- High Voltage Switching Certification with demonstrated experience in operation and maintenance of High Voltage apparatus
- Demonstrated written and oral English language proficiency
- C class driver’s license
Desirable
- SAP data entry, work order processing and warehouse functions knowledge
- Experience maintaining a variety of high voltage apparatus including protection relays, transformers, circuit breakers and DC battery maintenance
- Elevated Work Platform
- Accredited Working at Height Training
- 2 years’ experience in a relevant or equivalent role, with experience in a large-scale industry preferred
