The purpose of this role is to safely execute production activities at an operation as per the schedules and work instructions. Operate on the physical assets, plant and equipment as defined by the Operations standards and operating procedure. All under the supervision of a suitability qualified operator.
Location
Collie Refinery. This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes – bus available from Bunbury location only) and other nearby scenic communities.
As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie.
Accountabilities
Primary responsibilities are to:
• Demonstrate commitment and conformance to safe work practices and procedures
• Execute the production activities according to the schedule and only when competent to do so
• Follow all lawful instructions
• Understands the condition of the asset and the work required for the day
Executes work safely
• Follow procedures for tasks and identify improvements.
• Maintain housekeeping to standard.
• Execute work as per Supervisor or Senior RPO work assignment.
• Report all incidents, near misses, equipment or plant failures and delays promptly.
• Prepare for handover
• Complete handover log.
• Update routines and check sheets.
• Ensure workshops, tool lockers and amenities are maintained in a clean state.
About You
• Demonstrated written and oral English language proficiency
• Current ‘C’ class driver’s license or C-A class drivers’ licence
• Eagerness to learn and develop required skills and knowledge in Operational environment
• Previous experience working collaboratively in a team
