The Opportunity

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor the purpose of this role is to safely execute maintenance work within an operation area as per SAP (computerized maintenance management system) processes, maintenance schedules and work instructions as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Day shifts as well as day & night shifts available.

Location:  Worsley employees typically choose to live in Australind, Bunbury, Collie, or nearby communities, which offer a desirable country lifestyle.

Worsley is a local employer, and there is no on-site accommodation, so employees commute daily.

Accountabilities  

Primary responsibilities are to: 

  • Demonstrate commitment and conformance to safe work practices and procedures 
  • Execute work orders as per schedule and relevant work instructions as directed by the supervisor maintenance or superintendent maintenance  
  • Ensure work is done to the highest standard and history is recorded in SAP notifications for future reference 
  • Ensure adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the planning process
  • Initiate updates to work procedures to ensure they are accurate and relevant to equipment as per the SAP process 
  • Ensure returns of unused and reparable materials are processed accurately 
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all events and hazards and participate in workplace investigations or observations as required 
  • Actively support and apply the company’s continuous improvement principles to minimize cost, maximize production

The preferred candidates will have: 

Qualifications

  • Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter trade certificate, Cert III in Mechanical Engineering (Fitter)
  • Demonstrated written and oral English language proficiency
  • C class driver’s license

Experience/Technical Skills:

Pre-requisites

  • 2 years’ experience in a relevant or equivalent role, with experience in a large-scale refinery preferred
  • High Risk Work License
  • Lift Truck Forklift
  • Elevated Work Platform   
  • Basic Rigging
  • Accredited Working at Height Training
  • Accredited Working in Confined Spaces Training

Desirable

  • SAP data entry, work order processing and warehouse functions knowledge
  • HR Class Driver’s License
  • Advanced Scaffolding
