ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position on a 42-hour per week, day shift / night shift roster, at our Boddington Bauxite Mine reporting to the Supervisor Maintenance.

Please note that accommodation is not provided on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out to site on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Boddington.

As the Technician Maintenance Heavy Diesel, you will be responsible for safely maintaining and repairing heavy mobile equipment to support asset reliability, operational performance and production outcomes across the Worsley Mine site.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

• Complete scheduled maintenance activities in accordance with work plans, procedures and maintenance priorities.
• Maintain accurate work records and equipment history within SAP to support effective asset management.
• Contribute to equipment troubleshooting, root cause investigations and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Support work planning activities through effective scoping of corrective maintenance and material management.

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:  

• Performing preventative maintenance, repairs and component change-outs on heavy mobile equipment.
• Diagnosing equipment issues and contributing to practical, sustainable maintenance solutions.
• Working within safety-focused operational environments with a strong commitment to safe work practices.
• Using maintenance management and equipment diagnostic systems to record and manage work activities.
• Building positive working relationships with operations, maintenance and contractor teams.
• Demonstrating strong communication skills, attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.

Qualifications for this position are:  

• Successful completion of a Heavy Equipment Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship and holds a nationally recognized trade certification

• Demonstrated written and oral English language proficiency
• Current C class driver’s license
