About The Role We have several opportunities available for heavy diesel mechanical fitters to join the team at Werris Creek Mine. This is a regional role requiring you to live in or relocate to the local Gunnedah region.

What You’ll Do

·       Reporting to the leading hand you will enjoy the ability to work autonomously, performing maintenance and repairs and play a key part in helping achieve production targets

·       Conduct repairs and maintenance on mobile mining equipment, namely Hitachi Excavators and CAT dump trucks and Drills

·       Conduct inspections and raise job requests on defective parts/components

·       Read and understand mechanical drawings and maintenance manuals

·       Efficiently and safely operate workshop equipment

·       Carry out assigned work orders

What You’ll Bring

·       Trade qualified experienced heavy diesel fitter having worked on mining or heavy industry mobile plant

·       Hitachi and CAT earth moving equipment exposure

·       High risk license and / or Working at heights ideally

·       Relevant mobile plant operating licenses a bonus
