Reporting to the Supervisor – Electrical & Services, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of mechanical equipment and water-related systems.
You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of mechanical systems and water infrastructure within our construction site while also championing our Culture and our "We Care" approach, which underscores our commitment to a positive workplace environment and our dedication to the wellbeing of our employees and the community.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Carry out the preventative and scheduled maintenance of hire fleet and owned assets for optimized performance Project installation and commissioning of generators Maintain the levels of all required materials and ensure the appropriate tools are in place and maintained Contribute to optimum team performance and capability by providing quality workmanship to maintain and enhance the reliability of equipment. Carry out effective troubleshooting to minimise downtime Maintain and enhance relationships and communication with internal and external customers.
About You
Mechanical Trade (Fitter) qualification or similar as a mechanic Previous experience working with heavy duty diesel engines (Power generation applications experience an advantage) Excellent Mechanical troubleshooting skills, with sound knowledge of Cummins & Caterpillar engine products Current First Aid certificate or ability to get prior to commencement Current MR or HR driver's licence, as well as current forklift licence highly desirable. RIIHAN309F – Telehandler Conduct telescopic materials handler operations Highly desirable CPCCLDG3001A / CPCCLRG3001A High Risk License and associated qualifications (dogging and rigging etc) Highly desirable
