ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position on a 7:7 roster, working 12-hour day shifts at our Boddington Bauxite

Please note that accommodation is not provided on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out to site on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Boddington.

As the Technician Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for safely delivering maintenance activities to support reliable plant performance and continuous operations.

 Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:  

• Complete scheduled & breakdown work in line with plans, ensuring high-quality outcomes
• Capture accurate maintenance data and history to support future reliability
• Contribute to root cause investigations and identify practical improvement actions
• Maintain materials control, including returns and accurate usage recording

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:  

• Working in maintenance roles within industrial or large-scale operations
• Applying safe work practices and proactively managing risk in the workplace
• Using maintenance systems (e.g. SAP) to track work and update records
• Strong attention to detail with clear written and verbal communication
• Collaborating effectively with teams across maintenance and operations
• Taking initiative to identify improvements and support continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications for this position are:  

• Mechanical Fitter trade (Cert III – Mechanical Engineering)
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
• C class driver’s licence

Desirable:

• SAP maintenance systems experience
• HR licence
• High Risk Work (Forklift, EWP, Basic Rigging)
• Working at Heights & Confined Spaces
