About the role

We are looking for a Mining Systems Technician to safely carrying out inspections, scheduled maintenance, operation of assets, and breakdown maintenance to all West Pilbara Mining Systems Assets.

This is a great opportunity for a suitably experienced and qualified Systems savvy individual to showcase their ability to drive continuous improvement across Mobile radio networks and Mining System Hardware and Applications.

Reporting to the Mining Systems Supervisor and working in a collaborative community, you will be:

  • Manage customer expectations
  • Assist Site Communications Technicians when required
  • Identify improvement opportunities
  • Ensuring that maintenance is of a high quality and re-work is not required
  • Use SAP to raise notifications, complete time confirm and enter reliability and maintenance activity information.
  • Liaise with Engineers as required.

What you’ll bring

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Trade qualifications in relevant discipline - Auto Electrical, Radio Communication, or Industrial IT
  • Demonstrated experience in Mining Systems application such as Modular Mining (Dispatch and MineCare)
  • Strong working knowledge of Caterpillar Terrain, and HME Interfaces
  • Mobile radio network experience (WiFi/LTE)
  • Western Australian C class manual driver’s licence
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and SAP

Beneficial

  • Experience with Autonomous Mining Systems
  • Competent with reporting and analytics tools (Oracle and SQL based experience)
  • Experience in Pit Technology Solutions (i.e. Survey Technology, Wall Monitoring Solutions)
  • Previous experience as a Supervisor.
  • High Risk Work Licences - Forklift and Elevated Work Platform
