Position Title: Technology Leader - Metal Hydride
Work Location: Wilmington DE, (initially and temporarily in Harrington DE).
Key duties of this role will include:
- Lead the development of key product development programs
- Manage Intellectual Property portfolio and work with internal and external counsel on legal matters
- Ensure all development, and operational objectives, strategies and action plans are implemented, adhered to in a timely manner and reported through to the executive Mangship
- Appoint key personnel and discipline leads, as required
- Ensure cost targets are met, implementing improvement programs
- Develop strong, co-operative internal and external working relationships with major stakeholders, including the executive
- Proactively monitor and manage internal and external (contractor or consultant) performance and report against key performance indicators
- Review, improve and implement operating practices and policies to ensure compliance with statutory obligations
- Develop and implement best practice quality, health, safety and environment policies and procedures throughout all aspects of operations and maintenance to reduce safety incidents and injuries and embed a zero-harm safety culture
In order to be considered for this role you will have:
- A proven track record in successful engineering leadership of technology driven enterprise
- Demonstrated skill in managing health, safety and environment issues, assessing risks and hazards and implementing processes to manage those hazards to prevent incidents, injury and damage
- The ability to articulate the company vision influencing individual and group goals and management systems
- A proven track record for consistently accomplishing tasks that engenders trust with the executive
- Ability to proactively develop effective working relationships at all levels of the business and demonstrated track record of working collegiately with the operations and executive team
- Ability to problem solve and capacity to generate creative solutions utilising team or external resources to deal with organisational challenges and opportunities
