About TROC

Perth City Square is home to BHP’s Technology Remote Operations Centre (TROC).  TROC operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week supporting a wide range of safety and production critical Operational Technology (OT) to prevent or minimise impacts to our Minerals Australia assets caused by failure in critical technology services.

About the Role

As a Technology Remote Operations Centre (TROC) leader, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of technical specialists who monitor and respond to critical technology incidents.

This position adopts our Lifestyle Roster, working a pattern of days and nights, with a block of days off at the end of each swing/period. Employees on this roster will have two full weekends off out of four, and will rotate through the following shifts:

2 days of work, 2 nights of work, and 5 days off

2 days of work, 3 nights of work, and 4 days off

3 days on work, 2 nights off work and 5 days off

Shifts are 12 hours in duration plus handover time to the next team.

Working in the Perth CBD and reporting to the Superintendent OT Operations 24x7, your duties will include:

  • Positively mould the team's values in line with the broader team and BHP's charter values
  • Motivate, manage and engage your high performing team
  • Leading the Major Incident Management process and engaging stakeholders during major events / incidents / changes
  • Ensure safety standards are set up and respected

About You

  • Demonstrated experience supervising and leading a diverse team
  • Ability to establish a positive and productive working relationship and culture among team members and other departments
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex information 
  • Strong time management skills
  • Operational experience in industrial or mining environments is preferred but not required
