ABOUT Cannington

Our Cannington operation is one of the world's largest producers of silver and lead.  Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville. Cannington mine provides on-site accommodation including meal services, as well as sporting and gym facilities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a permanent position on 7/7 Dayshift / Nightshift roster, FIFO from Townsville and Cairns or DIDO from Mount Isa.

We are seeking Tool Store person for our South32 Cannington Mine Operation, your primary duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Issuing & returns of tooling within the internal tooling inventory program
• Tooling stocktake and replenishment as required to support the business requirements
• Electrical Testing and tagging in line with legal requirements
• Dispatch off site tool repairs and monitor progress of tool returns back to site
• Monitor and replenish toolstore consumables daily / weekly basis
• Nightly routine reviewing Maintenance Parts requirements and advising of any issues to respective areas
• Deliver all Maintenance execution materials to Maintenance laydown areas
• Maintain and prepare outage tooling containers with sufficient tooling to support additional Maintenance outages works as required

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• High standard Customer Service
• Previous Toolstore experience will be highly regarded
• Exposure to materials/ goods handling
• 1SAP or similar experience is preferred but not essential
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• A commitment to safety, with a high attention to detail

Mandatory requirements:

• Class C Driver’s license (Manual)
• Forklift license (HRWL)
• Electrical Test and Tag license (National recognised restricted Electrical license)
