Trade Upgrade Program – Expressions of Interest

Are you a skilled light vehicle mechanic or heavy road transport mechanic looking to get your foot in the door in mining? We are looking for skilled tradespersons to join our brand-new trade upgrade program in Mackay. The successful applicants will start in our Machine Rebuild Facility in Mackay and transition to site work across the Bowen Basin.

This position offers:

• Trade upgrade to Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology
• Exposure to mine spec equipment and procedures
• Training with Cat Sis programming
• Safety process training

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintain and service our rental fleet namely; D10 & D11 Dozers, 16M Graders, Fleet of 777 to 793 Trucks, 992 Loaders, 400T+ Excavators & many more.
• Learning and undertaking diagnosis & repair to assist in breakdowns, maintenance repairs, mid-lives, etc.
• Ensuring all maintenance repairs are performed in accordance with company guidelines and within cost targets
• Working with Emeco/Force customers to meet company objectives

Required skills / experience & attributes:

• Relevant nationally recognised trade qualification in Heavy Road Transportation or Automotive Mechanics
• A keen attitude to learn and develop your skillset
• A commitment to grow with our business
• A strong commitment to safety
• Ability to thrive working autonomously and work accountably.
• Great communication skills when working with clients and internally to deliver key results
• Strong analytical skills with a solution focus
• Ability to work as part of a team
