Trades Assistant

We are currently seeking an experienced mechanical Trades Assistant for an immediate start in our Mackay Force Workshop. Based in Paget, the successful applicant will work alongside experienced, dedicated, and passionate industry professionals to deliver on the maintenance and repair of rental equipment.

Key responsibilities include:
- Provide assistance for our Storeman and occasionally the Tradespersons
- Maintaining a tidy workshop
- Carry out parts pick ups and deliveries.
- General maintenance
- Ensuring all maintenance repairs are performed in accordance with company guidelines and within cost targets
- Providing support to the Emeco rental fleet as required
- Working with Emeco/Force customers to meet company objectives
Required skills / experience & attributes:
- A strong commitment to safety, health and the environment, with a proactive approach to housekeeping
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a role within a mechanical or engineering industry
- Current MR Licence (Highly Desirable)
- Driver’s licence
- Current High Risk Forklift Licence
- Ability to work as part of a cohesive team
- A keen eye for detail, presentation and craftsmanship.
