Trades Assistant

Force is seeking experienced Trades Assistants for an immediate start in our Mackay Workshop. Working in our 1st class facility, desired applicants will have previous Mechanical TA experience. Your duties will include assisting with Engine, Powertrain and Hydraulic Cylinder repairs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with Engine, Powertrain and Hydraulic Cylinder repairs
  • Assisting with Paint & Blast duties when required
  • General maintenance
  • Pick up’s and deliveries
  • Ensuring all maintenance repairs are performed in accordance with company guidelines and within cost targets
  • Providing support to the Emeco rental fleet as required
  • Working with Emeco/Force customers to meet company objectives

Required skills / experience & attributes:

  • Experience working mine spec equipment, or a mechanical background.
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Forklift licence essential
  • MR Truck Licence; desired
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Strong focus on Safety & Quality
  • Attention to detail
  • Good time keeping
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a cohesive team
