Trades Assistant

The Position

We are currently seeking an experienced mechanic based Trades Assistant for an immediate start in our Mackay Force Workshop. 

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Reporting to the Workshop manager, the successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on a variety of Earth moving equipment and perform the following duties:

• Provide assistance for our Storeman and occasionally the Tradespersons
• Maintaining a tidy workshop and carrying out parts pick ups and deliveries.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate:

• A strong commitment to safety, health and the environment, with a proactive approach to housekeeping
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a role within a mechanical or engineering industry
• Current MR Licence (Highly Desirable)
• Driver’s licence
• Current High Risk Forklift Licence
• Ability to work as part of a cohesive team
• A keen eye for detail, presentation and craftsmanship.
