About the role

Reporting to the Production Team Leader, you will be accountable for executing work activities in relation to operating and maintaining the coal preparation plant and the broader WCCPP site. This is a full-time permanent position, working a rotating roster of 12 hour shifts on nights.

Other accountabilities include –

  • Complete plant inspections and monitoring of the coal preparation process
  • Carrying out sampling and testing
  • Problem diagnosis and resolution, including process and electrical issues
  • Utilising the SAP system to requisition spares and equipment, and to raise notifications
  • Carry out routine planned electrical maintenance activities and attend to breakdowns
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all incidents and hazards
  • Respond to incidents and injuries as part of the emergency response team

About you

You will have:

  • Electrical Supervisors Certificate or an Electrical trade proficiency certificate (trade certificate)
  • Valid Driver’s Licence

In addition to the above, the following will be highly regarded:

  • High Voltage Switching and EEHA (Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas) qualifications
  • Workcover Dogging Licence, and have completed Confined Space and Working at Heights training

Location

This position will be at the West Cliff Coal Preparation Plant (WCCPP) which is in the southern coalfields of New South Wales, near the coastal city of Wollongong and approximately 75 kilometres south and southwest of Sydney.
