About the role

This is an ideal opportunity for enthusiastic, proactive and diverse Train Drivers to join our Rail Operations Team across Port Hedland, Newman or Yandi. These roles are available on a 2/2 FIFO  roster out of Perth, or 6/6 Residential roster 

As an experienced Train Driver, you will play a key role by:

  • Operating locomotives and providing operational support in our Rail Operations depots in Port Hedland, Newman and Yandi

  • Performing mainline, yard or shunting duties in accordance with our train schedules, relevant standards and work instructions

  • Demonstrated commitment to ensuring a safe workplace including willingness to maintain high standards of safety, equipment serviceability, housekeeping and compliance with site procedures

  • Various rosters on offer with attractive remuneration

About You

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:

  • Being a committed team player and working in partnership with our other Rail departments to ensure Rail Operations is safely aligned to our wider business

  • An unrelenting commitment to the BHP Charter Values and code of conduct, our overriding principles on how we treat each other

  • Alignment with the BHP pledge to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development

  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for the highest standards of work

  • Significant experience in the operation of Locomotive heavy hauled trains

  • Knowledge of principles and concepts related to train handling

  • Certificate IV in Train Driving or equivalent is essential

  • Ability to work a 24/7 rolling roster
