Trainee Condition Monitoring Technician
Work Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth
Fortescue is seeking applications for suitable candidate to fill the position of Trainee Condition Monitoring Technician. This exciting opportunity is an entry level role with full on the job training and development provided.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out condition monitoring data collection, analysis and reporting of all nominated fixed plant equipment and facilities, as well as providing technical input and recommendations.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Coordination and completion of Vibration Analysis, Oil analysis, thermography, UT and other Condition Monitoring Techniques
- Providing technical support to the Maintenance Superintendent, Supervisors and Trades people
- Undertakes post overhaul vibration data (baseline) to ensure that readings are within acceptable limits
Qualifications and skills required:
- Strong analytical and technical skills.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
- High level report writing skills and computer literacy.
- Mechanical background desirable
- Understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Outlook)
- C Class Driver’s License.
