We’re excited to launch our next intake for our Drill & Blast Traineeship Program, creating long term career paths within our Drill and Blast teams.  The traineeship program commences with a dedicated onboarding process at the Macmahon Head Office in Perth which will get you ready to mobilise to one of our operations.  You will build a solid base of knowledge and skills while working as a member of one of our site blast crews. Successful candidates could then further develop their skills and capability by finishing their 2-year training program as a qualified driller.

  • Clear, concise verbal communication skills 
  • Tenacity and patience to work long shifts, in a challenging environment 
  • Physical fitness and an understanding that working outside in exposed weather conditions is part of the role 

 
To be considered for this opportunity we require the below: 

  • Valid C Class Manual Drivers Licence minimum 
  • Dangerous Good Security Card preferred but not essential 
  • Previous FIFO experience preferred but not essential 
  • Currently hold valid working rights within Australia 


Please note that we run a multiple stage selection process for this role. You may be required to complete a pre-employment questionnaire, complete online psychometric testing and a video interview as well as attend an Assessment Centre in our Perth Head Office.
