Trainee - Dump Truck Operator

Job Responsibilities

Health, Safety and Risk

• Complete pre-start checks
• Attend and participate in PSI and safety meetings
• Complete Mac 5’s and be involved in the development of JSEA’s when required
• Inspect work area and equipment for hazards, damage and defects prior to commencing work
• Comply with Macmahon incident management procedures especially ensuring notification, reporting and investigation time frames are achieved
• Safe and efficient operation of all equipment as directed

Technical/Operational

• Ensure SMU hours are not wasted
• Perform defined, routine tasks and activities in a working environment
• Record all shift report data correctly and on time (i.e. delays, locations, directions, etc.)
• Completed all tasks requested by supervision that you have been trained and deemed competent to do so
• Maintain equipment in a neat and tidy condition at all times

Commercial/Financial

• Operate machine in competent manner without causing damage to equipment
• Ensure work is done correctly the first time to the acceptable standard so there is no rework

Team Contribution

• Support employees and contractors to comply with all relevant policies and procedures
• Participate and support improvement opportunities leading to safer workplaces, increased productivity and increased efficencies
