As a participant in the 24 month traineeship, RII30120 Certificate III in Surface Extraction Operations you will attend Macmahon’s industry leading dump truck academy run by Macmahon Contractors RTO (52303) and subsidised by the state government of Western Australia. You will learn about dump truck operations and then apply what you have learnt in our Caterpillar Truck Simulator before starting on site. As a part of the selection process, you will be required to attend an Assessment Centre, and if successful you will be required to start on the 12th of May. This will give you enough time to complete all onboarding and hand in your notice at your current employer
Key Information
- FIFO to our Surface Mine site
- 2/1 Roster during your Traineeship
- Assessment day will be on 21st of March and you must be available for this date in order to be successful
- If you are successful during the screening, you will be required to do additional testing before being invited to the Assessment Centre, please monitor your emails closely as we will start contacting the successful applicants from 25th of February.
About you:
- Must have a valid driver's license (Manual is preferred)
- Must have full working rights (Citizenship or Permanent Resident),
- Prior experience working 12hr shifts (Highly desirable)
- Mine site experience is desirable but not essential
