About the position

Are you an experienced underground miner with a passion for training and mentoring? We are looking for an Underground Trainer to join our team and play a key role in upskilling our workforce while driving a strong safety culture on site.

As an Underground Trainer, you will support our operational leadership teams in delivering high-quality training and development initiatives. You will ensure our training strategies align with employee development pathways, fostering continuous improvement in both compliance and competency across site operations. Key Performance Tasks:

• Support site leadership in implementing Barminco’s safety management systems.
• Deliver practical, on-the-job training and mentoring for underground operational personnel.
• Conduct competency-based assessments and assist with employee progression plans.
• Assist with the coordination of new starter arrivals, site inductions, and underground tours.
• Ensure training records, reports, and compliance documents are maintained to meet corporate, site, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct workplace inspections, task observations, and proactive hazard identification.
• Facilitate hydration testing as required by site management.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 5 years’ underground mining experience (essential).
• Strong underground operational knowledge (essential).
• Passion for developing and mentoring underground mining personnel.
• A proactive and safety-focused mindset.
