Trainer and Assessor
Work Location: Cloudbreak – Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.
Roster: 4D/3R – FIFO ex Perth or Busselton
Fortescue is seeking a dynamic and passionate Trainer and Assessor with a strong understanding of Drill and Blast to join our Cloudbreak training Team. Whilst providing ongoing training, coaching and mentoring, you will also ensure all training matrix and competencies are current and maintain all necessary documentation for Drill and Blast Training operations.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Identify and drive opportunities to lift Productivity of Autonomous fleet.
- Provide high level and operational reporting to key stakeholders on productivity
- Create/ Amend/ Maintain SWI’s to suit ensure safe and efficient processes are in place.
- Provide visible field leadership in demonstrating Safety values and driving a safety-first culture
- Carry out duties in a manner which does not adversely affect health and safety to self or others.
- Complete and validate weekly and monthly reports to business stakeholders
Qualifications and skills required:
- Certificate IV Trainer and Assessor
- Current WA Shotfirers ticket
- Good knowledge and able to operate Pit Vipers 271, CAT MD, D65’s and DML
- Good communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills
- Ability to undertake quality risk assessments
- Ability to read and understand mine plans
