Trainer & Assessor (Exploration)
Work Location: Across all Fortescue Exploration sites
Roster: 14D/7R or 12D/9R FIFO ex. Perth
Reporting to the Exploration Training Supervisor, a key requirement of this position is to assist with the development and delivery of training for Fortescue's Exploration team to ensure continual improvement in a dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver training and undertake Verification of Competencies (VOC's) on vehicle loading cranes, dogging, four-wheel drive/all-terrain vehicles, excavators, and similar
- Deliver process improvement and drive efficiency in training delivery
- Coach, train and advise across a range of HSE issues to equip the Exploration team with appropriate HSE tools and knowledge to effectively lead and manage
- Participating in the control of identified hazards where appropriate and providing assistance and guidance in the investigation of incidents and safety inspection processes
- Actively participate in mentoring and coaching of personnel to establish a sustained safety culture
Qualifications and Experience:

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment / or working towards.
- Demonstrated site-based experience in exploration, mining and/or construction
- Manual C Class Drivers Licence
- Heavy Rigid Licence
- Strong Four Wheel Driving experience in a variety of terrain
- Working experience operating Heavy Vehicles in offroad terrain
- High Risk Work Licence for Dogging (DG), Vehicle Loading Crane (CV), Forklift (LF)
- Telehandler Ticket
