Trainer & Assessor (Exploration)

Work Location: Across all Fortescue Exploration sites

Roster:  14D/7R or 12D/9R FIFO ex. Perth

Reporting to the Exploration Training Supervisor, a key requirement of this position is to assist with the development and delivery of training for Fortescue's Exploration team to ensure continual improvement in a dynamic environment. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver training and undertake Verification of Competencies (VOC's) on vehicle loading cranes, dogging, four-wheel drive/all-terrain vehicles, excavators, and similar
• Deliver process improvement and drive efficiency in training delivery
• Coach, train and advise across a range of HSE issues to equip the Exploration team with appropriate HSE tools and knowledge to effectively lead and manage
• Participating in the control of identified hazards where appropriate and providing assistance and guidance in the investigation of incidents and safety inspection processes
• Actively participate in mentoring and coaching of personnel to establish a sustained safety culture

Qualifications and Experience:

• • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment / or working towards.
  • Demonstrated site-based experience in exploration, mining and/or construction
  • Manual C Class Drivers Licence
  • Heavy Rigid Licence
  • Strong Four Wheel Driving experience in a variety of terrain
  • Working experience operating Heavy Vehicles in offroad terrain
  • High Risk Work Licence for Dogging (DG), Vehicle Loading Crane (CV), Forklift (LF)
  • Telehandler Ticket
