Trainer Assessor – Green Fleet Development
Work location: Hazelmere, WA
Roster: 5:2 roster
In support of Fortescue’s strong focus on green energy and our carbon neutrality targets, one of our key initiatives will be in our Green Fleet projects whereby we will develop and test a range of technologies to power our mining fleet.
Based out of our new Hazelmere R&D facility and reporting to the Training & Development Supervisor, we are presently looking for a Trainer Assessor – Green Fleet Development.
The primary responsibility of the Trainer Assessor is to plan, deliver and assess mandatory and role specific training ensuring that FFI Green Fleet employees are appropriately trained and competent to safely undertake and respond to their assigned duties.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Ensure all training resources are current and sourced from the Fortescue Training Hub and comply with Fortescue Training Standards
- Ensure any new training identified that is specific to FFI Green Fleet complies with Fortescue Training Standards
- Use teaching and assessment strategies that are fair, valid, current and sufficient
- Deliver training including site-based emergency response that addresses individual learning style, skill level and knowledge
- Participate in Training and Development Quality review and improvement processes
- Participate in team based risk assessments and recommend changes to training content for area of responsibility
- Ensure new or existing training outcomes are recorded accurately into the Learning Management System
- Communicate progress of training compliance and training requirements to managers within area of responsibility
- Participate in moderation/validation sessions as required
- Participate in internal and external contractual audits
- Maintain currency of qualifications and relevant industry experience including emergency response
- Support Project Health and Safety Advisors as required
Qualifications and skills required:
- Possess a high level of organisational and time management skills
- Possess a high level of written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to speak publicly and deliver training presentations
- Strong computer literacy skills, including the Microsoft Suite of products and Learning Management systems
- Possess good administrative skills
- Extensive knowledge and experience in delivering industry training programs including emergency response training
- Evidence of commitment to a safe working environment and the achievement of Zero Harm
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is essential or equivalent, and relevant industry experience
- Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety highly regarded
- Current Australian driver’s licence – Class C or higher
- Experience with SuccessFactors, LMS would be highly regarded
- Experience in dangerous goods storage, handling or transport would be highly regarded
- Experience in High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL), Verification of Competency (VOC) would be highly regarded
- LF, WP, DG or RB classes desirable
