Work Location: Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.
Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth or Busselton
Role Overview:
Deliver accredited TAFE Training in Cert III Mobile Plant Equipment and Cert II Servicing to both Apprentices and Pre-Apprentices along with the development, validation, moderation of Training Assessment Plans (TAP), Training Assessment Strategies (TAS) and learning/resource material. In collaboration with other lecturers, this Trainer and Assessor position will be responsible for the development, delivery, assessment and resulting of accredited unit of competencies (UoC) in both the Cert III Mobile Plant Equipment and Cert II Servicing qualifications. The ideal candidate would best suit a highly organised candidate with a solid Registered Training Organisation (RTO) training development and delivery skill set, with experience working in an Apprenticeship/Traineeship/Accredited Training environment
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Trade Training Centre including, but not limited to, reviewing and updating processes/procedures and general maintenance of the facility
- Design, develop, validate and moderate Training Assessment Plans (TAP), Training Assessment Strategies (TAS), assessment, and learning/resource materials including future qualifications being implemented along with resulting
- Ensuring your Training Delivery Schedule is available a minimum of 12 months prior to training being conducted and is approved by the Superintendent Trade Apprenticeships including details of what is being delivered and the attendees
- Assist in the delivery of comprehensive Workshop and Apprenticeship/Pre-Apprenticeship inductions and familiarisations and delivery of Professional Development Trade Relevant courses to internal Tradespersons within Fortescue to ensure we are upskilling our internal workforce
- Undertake audits and safety processes as required
Qualification and Experience:
- Trade Qualified with a Certificate III in Heavy Mobile Equipment or Trade Qualified with a Certificate III in Automotive Electrical (Highly desirable)
- Hold Certificate III Training and Assessment TAE40116, Forklift, Dogging and Overhead Crane qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar level position within a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Experience in developing and delivering accredited training and conducting operations in accordance with the ASQA/TAC/RTO framework
- Experience in the day-to-day management of training workshops including the supervision and mentoring of teams of 10+
- Have worked for an RTO or have RTO experience
