About the Role
BHP Operations Services team currently operates across various locations within Australia. Operations Services Training is currently recruiting for Production Trainer Assessor to work with our team at Nickel West, Camelot Deployment in Leinster. Reporting to the Training Supervisor, working in an open cut environment, this role allows the ability for you to impart your skills and knowledge to a small team across numerous areas such as production and drill & blast. As one of our Trainer Assessors, you will be a valued part of the OS Training Team. We are looking for people with demonstrated mining or civil background experience in the below or like machines:

Haul Trucks/Water trucks – Caterpillar 785

Excavator PC 300

Epiroc D65 drill
You will:
-
Deliver competency based training materials to individuals or groups;
-
Conduct Verification of Competencies for specific equipment to ensure new team members are competent and authorised to work;

Review performance and implement training in line with business drivers;
-
Contribute to the design of training plans and assist in training improvements;
-
Ensure training materials are maintained in line with business and industry standards;
-
Ensure team members are adequately skilled and are available across all shifts to ensure safe and effective execution of work;

Work with team members to support upskilling and career progression;
-
Coach and mentor team members on how to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions relating to standardised work.

About You
You will be a Certified Trainer Assessor and able to demonstrate:
-
Solid knowledge as a Trainer Assessor with demonstrated experience in the resources/mining sector;

Have an up-to-date Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment - preferably the TAE40116 or working towards achieving this;

Hold the relevant & recognised licences, tickets and competencies for production or relevant experience in equipment;
-
Have maintained currency with the plant/equipment and work activities in which you train/assess;
-
Proven organizational skills within a training environment and the ability to work autonomously;
-
Exceptional skills in the presentation of material and the ability to build relationships;
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively coach others in improvement and upskilling.

Experienced mining and civil Operators, quarry or small mine operators are encouraged to apply.
