Due to the continuous growth and strengthening of our position Australia wide and the recent additional works being awarded at Byerwen, Macmahon has opportunities for an experienced Trainer/Assessor to work with our Maintenance Team onsite.
 
Duties & Responsibilities
 
    · Coordinate and execute training and assessment ensuring this meets the Client needs and Macmahon training standards
    · Develop, monitor and maintain proficiency for operation of equipment to a high standard
    · Identify any out of date, inaccurate or unsuitable content in site training material 
    · Undertake field observations for performance of personnel operating procedures 
    · Remain current and proficient on the operations they train/assess or work in consultation with a mentor/subject matter expert
    · Actively participate in professional development activities on an ongoing basis
    · Identify and implement improvement opportunities leading to safer workplaces
    · Generate regular (weekly) training forecasts
    · Provide regular updates to shift supervisors on training progress of their personnel
    · Training performance is reviewed, evaluated, reported, and analysed
    · Prepare all relevant training resources and assessment material
        Assist the Project Manager/SSE to develop and monitor budgeting and forecasting 
 
About you:
 
    · Previous experience in a similar role in a large scale open-cut mining environment
    · Sound knowledge of maintenance process and procedures
    · Ability to work as part of the team
    · Great interpersonal and communication skills
    · Drive a safety-first workplace culture, which promotes a zero-harm environment
    · Current Cert IV in Training & Assessment
