About the Role
We are currently seeking applications from experienced Mine Development Trainers with extensive experience across all aspects of Underground Mine Development processes and techniques.
Based at Olympic Dam, working a rotation of 8:6 / 7:7 day shift and night shift, this role will see you providing on the job training to team members across mine development. Roster variations as per organisational requirements.
In this role you will:
- Promote and consistently enable Health and Safety in the workplace as a number one priority.
- Promote and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable crews to work safely.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve workplace practices and procedures within the Mine Development.
- Provide classroom and on the job training, coaching and mentoring to new employees to ensure adherence to all relevant processes and procedures.
- Work closely with department leaders to identify training requirements for the Olympic Dam Mine Development.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skillset:
- Ability to run in-field training classes and in-class training session.
- Prior experience across Underground Mining practices is essential.
- Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way.
- Be focused on working collaboratively within your team to achieve results.
- A valid Driver’s Licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle.
- Previous supervisory experience is highly desirable.
- Well-Versed in Underground Mining with the capability to teach all associated roles in a hands-on manner.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
